So after 8 months since she was born, we finally decided to plan her christening. I must say that for first time moms it was really hard to do it all on your own. My mom is in the other country so she can't really help me physically to arrange everything, instead she only approves/disapproves stuffs that I'm showing in Webcam. :D It's actually a 15 day preparation only.
The Church
We booked her in St. Francis of Assisi Church but its a special day December 27, 2011 (my birthday) and they said we could pay for the use of church but we should provide a priest to the ceremony. Luckily, boyfriend found a good priest in one of the churches in Pasig.

St. Francis of Assisi Chapel It's actually inside the church, they gave this cozy and nice chapel to do the ceremony. |
 |
| They also provided everything that we need for the ceremony. |

| The Officers of the Church are really accomodating. |
The Venue/The Food
We wanted a buffet party for this event, We tried the famous Filipino restaurants that offers buffet for parties but they can't cater rush orders. Since we are also from Las Piñas and most of our friends and relatives are in the other part of Manila, it will be hard to do the Christening here. So we decided to do it in Ortigas, our first choice was the venue in the rooftop of San Miguel Bldg, but the caterer of the place didn't impress us plus the food are expensive for its taste and presentation. I suddenly remembered one of my friend who did her wedding reception in a Chinese Buffet Restaurant - Tramway Buffet Plaza, but it's in Timog. So I googled, and tried checking if they have any other branches near to my target city - and oh yes! Wish granted! They have one in Shaw Blvd, where is exactly the church located. I'm feeling so much lucky since they also have a very great promo during that time. So booked and checked. We paid the 50% downpayment on the day we went to the restaurant to book our event, the venue and location is really wide and big. It's inside of a Building but the place is really appropriate and best for any kind of events. The choices are from the variety of different kinds of Chinese Food, the dishes are actually great! Drinking Water are provided for each function room for free.

The Outfit
My mom created this gown for her, its actually just a plain dress from Italy and my mom added ssome swarovski beads to glitter it. Plus she also made a head dress for her, she really looks like a little bride!
It was shipped and we received it just on time, 3 days before the event :)

The Candles
I didn't like the thin plain white candles that I used to see in some Christening Ceremony, I wanted a more of a girly and kikay look for candles. So I bought colored candles (medium size) ribbons and Tule for her candles.
 |
| Pink for The Ninangs / Blue for the Ninongs |
I was given by the church a one huge candle, they said parents will be using it for the ceremony, so what I did is I tweaked it :p

The Souvenirs
Ugh, it was really the hard part, I didn't like to use the generic/ordinary/common/traditional kind of souvenirs, I wanted ours to be different. So we created this , different imported books for everyone with my princess as the cover of the book. And there's a special message at the back where it says that whoever gets the book should read it to my baby when she grows.
These is available for orders in my Online Shop :)

The Invitation
It wasn't really the invitation that I like, but my boyfriend did it for her daughter so what I can do :))

Guest Book
I created a guest book for our guest where they could write dedications for her :) Bought it plain in National Book Store and I added some ribbons to make it lovely.

| Inside the book, it's like a Timeline of her life :) |
The Photographers
Few months before this, I joined my baby's photo in a Photo Contest in a Photography Team Page - KaChika Foto. Luckily we won the second place and we got a Pictorial Service worth 5k for free :) The owners are lovely and friendly, they went all the way from Las Piñas to Shaw Blvd just to grant my prize, heard no complaints from them and they are really good in taking photos, telling you what pose you should do, where to pose, etc. They are really self starters, you didn't have to tell them what to do where to take photo and that. It was really nice meeting their Team. Especially Ms. Cyh and Mr. Popee.

| They are really good in giving great deals! With a superb quality of service! |
So I must say, that the event was successful. Guest are happy and most of all Janiah's is a blessed and baptized already. :) Tiring but the feeling after all of these are worth it! :)
